First approved in Europe more than 15 years ago, AmBisome remains a strong seller even in the face of new competition. AmBisome is used to treat systemic fungal infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients. These fungal infections are increasingly common in hospital settings. Astellas Pharma Inc. promotes and sells AmBisome in the United States and Canada. Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. markets AmBisome in Japan. Gilead retains exclusive marketing rights to AmBisome throughout the rest of the world. AmBisome is available in more than 40 countries worldwide.

TAMIFLU
