Gilead is dedicated to providing people with access to medicines for serious and life-threatening diseases, regardless of where they live. Our Access Program takes a multipronged approach to ensure that high-quality treatments are affordable and available to patients who need them in developing countries.

Gilead's Access Program currently focuses on three disease areas:

  • HIV/AIDS: Through the Access Program, 2.1 million people in 132 developing countries are now receiving an HIV treatment regimen based on Gilead's medicines. Learn more
  • Hepatitis B: Gilead is working to deliver treatment for chronic hepatitis B to patients worldwide, and particularly in Asia, where the burden of chronic hepatitis B is greatest. Learn more
  • Leishmaniasis: Working with the World Health Organization and non-governmental organizations, Gilead has helped expand access to treatment for visceral leishmaniasis, one of the world’s deadliest parasitic diseases. Learn more
