Richard J. Gorczynski, PhD

Senior Vice President, Cardiovascular Research

Dr. Gorczynski was appointed Senior Vice President of Cardiovascular Research following the acquisition of Myogen by Gilead. From 1998-2006, he was Senior Vice President, Research and Development at Myogen. Prior to joining Myogen in 1998, Dr. Gorczynski served as Vice President of Research and Development for Somatogen, Inc. and Executive Director of Cardiovascular Diseases Research for Monsanto-Searle Pharmaceuticals. He also served as head of pharmacology at American Critical Care, a pharmaceutical division of American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Dr. Gorczynski holds a PhD in physiology from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
