Gilead Sciences to Release Second Quarter 2006 Financial Results on Thursday, July 20, 2006; Conference Call and Webcast to Follow

(Nasdaq:GILD) announced today that its second quarter 2006 financial results will be released on Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. At 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Gilead will webcast a conference call live on the company's internet site.
