Gilead places high value on partnering with companies and organizations whose strengths complement and augment our own.

Gilead has an active research and development program to identify new and improved compounds for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, chronic hepatitis, respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, and other diseases that represent significant unmet medical needs. In 2007 alone, Gilead invested more than $590 million in research and development activities, a 55 percent increase from the year prior and an 84 percent increase over 2002.
