Facts About Gilead HIV

Hero Image

For over three decades, Gilead has been dedicated to meeting the needs and helping improve the lives of people impacted by HIV. We are deeply committed to advancing health equity and mitigating the multiple systemic barriers that affect access to HIV care.

Understanding Access to Our Medicines

Gilead continues to be at the forefront of pioneering the discovery and development of innovative HIV medicines that help meet the evolving needs of the HIV community. For over 30 years, Gilead has been committed to leading advancements that reduce medication burden, including the first HIV single-tablet regimen, the first oral therapy to prevent HIV infection and the first long-acting injectable HIV treatment medication administered twice-yearly for HIV that is not adequately controlled by current regimens. And we are still researching new strategies to deliver on our commitment to the HIV community. Gilead’s goal is to discover, develop and help ensure access to innovative HIV medicines and actively pursue research that could, hopefully, one day, lead to a cure.

Importantly, our dedication to innovation applies not only to how we approach discovering medicines, but also to how we help expand access to those who could benefit from our medicines.
