The Swiss Community Fellowship was introduced in 2024. Through this program, we provide funds for projects by and for the Swiss patient community that raise disease awareness, improve health outcomes and reduce barriers to care for underserved populations.

Program Focus Area

In 2026, the program will support initiatives in the areas of HIV, hepatitis D, primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), oncology, and CAR-T. Projects which demonstrate implementation of patient feedback and are carried out in partnerships with patients and members of the community will be prioritized.

HIV, hepatitis D, and PBC- projects should address

  • Disease Awareness and education
  • Prevention and early diagnosis
  • Support programs for people living with HIV, HDV, or PBC
  • Community research projects generating evidence on challenges and needs of people living with HIV, HDV and BPC

Oncology and CAR-T- projects should address:

  • Disease awareness and early diagnosis
  • Support programs for people living with aggressive blood and metastatic breast cancers and their caretakers
  • Community research projects generating evidence on challenges and needs of people living with cancer
  • Capacity building for community organizations
