Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) today announced the promotion of
Katie Watson to Executive Vice President, Human Resources.
Ms. Watson joined Gilead in February 2003 and since that time has taken
on increasing levels of responsibility and management within the HR
organization. Ms. Watson was appointed Vice President of Employee
Development and Rewards in 2012 and was promoted to Senior Vice
President, Human Resources in 2013. Before joining Gilead, she was a
manager of compensation for Applera Corporation, led the HR consulting
practice for TriNet and worked as an HR business partner for DE Shaw &
Co. Ms. Watson holds a degree in Psychology from the University of
California at San Diego and a master's in Organizational Psychology from
Columbia University.
